Made in Italy, in the region of the Italian cutlery tradition, these small scissors with two 9 cm blades are characterised by a very fine point which allows a precise cut even in the most difficult places. This makes them ideal for precision work, such as paper cutting, embroidery and sewing.
These small scissors are part of the “Archivio” collection, entirely dedicated to the promotion of Italian craftsmanship. You can find other stationery items from this collection on the page dedicated to it.
Dimensions: 9 cm
Material: high-grade steel, nickel-plated. Nickel increases the fracture and corrosion resistance of the steel.
Made in Italy.
All our scissors are made in the historic town of Premana, a stone’s throw from the famous Lake Como, Italy, where 94% of the scissors used in Italy currently come from. Premana owes its reputation as the historical cradle of Italian and international cutlery to the presence of steel mines, active since the 1200s. The production of metal objects began as early as the 14th century and continues to this day, with significant specialisation in the craft and industrial manufacture of scissors. The fascinating history of this small mountain town is closely interwoven with the history of its mines and metal workshops.
All the scissors you can find in our shop have been made in this small Italian village, from the iron present there. Today, Premana has about 2,250 inhabitants and about 70 scissor and cutlery workshops.
